Firefighters Battle Blaze in Crawley’s Broadfield Neighborhood

In response to an industrial fire, West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service successfully extinguished a blaze that erupted in Partridge Green. The incident, which occurred on Monday, 22nd January, began at approximately 4.39 pm in an industrial unit located on Star Road.

A spokesperson for West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service said: “We were called to reports of a fire involving an industrial unit on Star Road in Partridge Green at 4.39pm on Monday 22 January.

“Joint Fire Control mobilised two fire engines from Horsham, one from Steyning, and one from Partridge Green to the scene. Upon arrival, firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used four high-pressure hose reels and a jet to extinguish the fire.

“The fire is believed to have been of accidental origin.

“They remained on scene damping down and used a thermal imaging camera to ensure there were no further hotspots before leaving the incident at 6.33pm.”
