Sussex Police Hunt ‘Blue’ in Shocking Rape and Child Abuse Probe
Sussex Police have launched a high-stakes investigation into grim allegations of rape and sexual offences against women and children. The case erupted after a woman claimed she was raped in a hotel room last September.
Shane ‘Blue’ Gibbs Busted on Multiple Charges
Police have arrested Shane Gibbs, 34, aka ‘Blue’, who has no fixed address. He now faces a slew of serious charges including rape, child abduction, intentional strangulation, several counts of sexual offences with minors, assault, and drug possession with intent to supply.
Following fresh claims from victims who knew him, detectives hit Gibbs with two more rape charges at Hove Crown Court recently.
Sussex Cops Urge Public to Come Forward
Gibbs is locked up awaiting trial set for October 7. Sussex Police are distributing his photo and warning that he often uses aliases or hides his identity. They believe someone out there holds key information to crack the case.
Detective Superintendent Ben Newman said: “This is a wide-ranging investigation and we believe there are people we have not yet heard from who have vital information. If you have any information that could help, no matter how insignificant it may seem, please contact us online or via 101, quoting Operation Newbarn or serial 655 of 07/01.”
If you recognise Shane ‘Blue’ Gibbs or have any details, don’t stay silent. Help Sussex Police bring justice to victims and keep the community safe.
