Gardai have initiated a murder investigation after a man in his 30s was discovered dead at a property in the Sallins Park area of Sallins, Co Kildare, in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The victim, believed to be originally from Eastern Europe, was found with fatal injuries, suspected to be the result of a stabbing. Emergency services were alerted shortly after 3:15 am regarding the incident at the residential property.
