Fairground Ride Fails at Lambeth Country Show
Emergency crews raced to Brockwell Park after a fairground ride malfunctioned at the Lambeth Country Show around 6.20pm on Saturday. Four people were rushed to hospital, with their conditions now under assessment. Thankfully, no one remains trapped on the ride.
Area Sealed Off as Investigations Begin
The scene has been cordoned off while authorities launch a full investigation into what caused the ride failure. The Health & Safety Executive (HSE) has been alerted to ensure safety checks and protocols are examined thoroughly to prevent similar incidents in future.
Event Organisers Vow Safety is Top Priority
A spokesperson at the show said: “Safety is our utmost priority, and we are cooperating fully with the authorities to understand what happened and to make sure it doesn’t happen again.”
