The chilling investigation kicked off in February 2019 and uncovered 17 counts against Jackson, some committed in Derbyshire. The victim was just 11 years old when the abuse began but showed incredible courage by coming forward and helping police bring the predator to justice.
Detective Praises Courage, Hopes for Justice
Detective Sergeant Ryan McVeigh, who led the probe, saluted the victim’s bravery. “It’s difficult to even begin to understand the suffering that Jackson has caused her,” he said. McVeigh insisted that no one deserves such trauma and hopes the harsh sentence brings some comfort to the survivor.
