Sam Kerr Pledges Future to Chelsea with New Contract
Star striker Sam Kerr has put pen to paper on a new deal, keeping her at Chelsea FC until summer 2026. The Australian forward, 30, has been a driving force for the Blues since joining midway through the 2019/20 season.
Glory Years and Silverware Galore
Since arriving at Stamford Bridge, Kerr has piled up trophies like a true champion. Her haul includes five Women’s Super League titles, three FA Cups, two Continental Tyres League Cups, and a Community Shield. She was also instrumental in Chelsea’s run to the UEFA Women’s Champions League final.
Despite an injury setback in the 2023/24 season, Kerr’s commitment to Chelsea never wavered. She previously extended her contract in November 2021, which now runs through to 2026.

She hit her 100th appearance milestone in February’s FA Cup win over Arsenal, and netted the winner in the FA Cup final at Wembley in May 2023.
The Aussie ace dominates award ceremonies too. She scooped Chelsea’s Player of the Season and Players’ Player of the Season for the second straight year, took home the FA WSL Player of the Year at the London Football Awards, and made history by winning the Football Writers’ Association Women’s Footballer of the Year in consecutive years. Kerr also earned a spot in the Professional Footballers’ Association WSL Team of the Year.

At the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup on home turf in Australia and New Zealand, Kerr battled back from injury to make a stunning impact.
