Police Seek Witnesses After Fatal Collision in Canterbury

Kent Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision that occurred in Canterbury on Monday, 5 August 2024.

The incident took place at approximately 3:55 pm on Stone Street, between Stelling and Farthing Common. A red Yamaha Fazer motorbike travelling towards Hythe was involved in a collision with a blue Vauxhall Grandland Elite and a grey Isuzu horse box.

Tragically, the motorcyclist, a 36-year-old man from Dymchurch, was pronounced deceased at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

Serious collision investigators are examining the circumstances surrounding the crash, which may also have involved a stationary grey Nissan Navara and trailer.

Investigators are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage of the collision or the moments leading up to it.
