Triple Shoplifting Bust Rocks North Kent
North Kent police cracked down hard on retail crime, nabbing three suspects linked to shoplifting sprees in Gravesend, Northfleet, and Bluewater Shopping Centre – all on the very same day.
Sweet Tooth Suspect Snared in Gravesend
It all kicked off with a confectionery heist worth over £60 at a Thames Way store in Gravesend. Cops swooped after checking CCTV footage, arresting Rene Suha, 31, from Snelling Avenue. Suha now faces theft charges and must return to Medway Magistrates’ Court on 25 October, having been conditionally bailed.
Beer Bandit Busted Twice in Northfleet
Not far away in Northfleet, Vivian Torak, 31, with no fixed address, allegedly stole crates of beer not once, but twice from the Co-op on Dene Holm Road. Charged with two theft counts valued at £50, Torak is due back at Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court on 1 October.
Bluewater Sunglasses Sting Nets London Man
Security at Bluewater Shopping Centre raised the alarm over £5,347 worth of stolen sunglasses from John Lewis. Police arrested Brian McAllister, 45, from Forest Hill, London, in a nearby car park. McAllister now faces two theft charges, including an unrelated shop theft in Chelmsford from May 20. He’s been remanded in custody and will appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on 11 September.
