Wiltshire Police are appealing for the public’s help in identifying several males in connection with an incident at Coate Water, Swindon, where a swan was shot and killed last month.
The incident occurred on the evening of 11 September, when a swan was found deceased on the bank with a wound to its neck after witnesses reported hearing a loud bang.
Following a witness appeal on 13 September, police are now seeking to speak with the males captured in photos linked to the case. Authorities believe these individuals may have information that could assist in the investigation.
Anyone who recognises the males in the photos, or who has additional information regarding the incident, is urged to contact Wiltshire Police by calling 101 and quoting reference 54240107750.
The police remain committed to protecting wildlife and are encouraging anyone with information to come forward, no matter how small it may seem, to help bring those responsible to justice.
