Police Seek Information on Unprovoked Assault in Bristol City Centre

Avon & Somerset Police have released CCTV images of individuals they wish to speak to in connection with an unprovoked assault that occurred in the city centre.

The main person of interest is described as a white male, tall, of average build, with dark facial hair and short, dark hair. In the CCTV footage, he is seen wearing a grey hoodie, grey trousers, and a white T-shirt underneath.

The incident took place on Sunday, 21 April, at approximately 04:15 in Lewins Mead, Bristol. According to reports, three people were punched in an unprovoked attack, resulting in injuries that required hospital treatment. Following the assault, the suspect is believed to have travelled along Union Street towards Castle Park.

In addition to the main suspect, investigators are keen to speak with a man and a woman who may have witnessed the assault. CCTV images of these potential witnesses have also been released. One shows a man wearing a grey two-tone zipped top with the hood up, while another image depicts a man in a two-tone hooded top walking alongside a woman with long hair in a ponytail.

Police are urging anyone with information about the incident or who can identify the individuals in the CCTV images to come forward. Members of the public can assist the investigation by calling 101 and quoting the reference number 5224101495, or by completing the online appeals form on the police website.
