Emergency services were called to a dramatic crash in Brandon Road, North London, on Sunday after a blue Audi, worth £60,000, ploughed down a set of stairs and into the front of a media building.

The driver, a man believed to have blacked out behind the wheel, lost control of the vehicle, causing it to onto the pavement, descend the stairs, and crash through the glass doors of the building.

The incident, which occurred shortly after 1:00pm, caused significant damage to the building’s entrance, including shattered glass and demolished doors.

Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service assessed the driver on the scene, who fortunately escaped with only minor injuries. No other injuries were reported.
A witness described the scene as “chaotic,” with shattered glass strewn across the pavement and the vehicle lodged in the building’s frontage.
Police and firefighters were also on-site, working to secure the area and remove the vehicle from the building. A police spokesperson confirmed the incident, stating:
“The driver is believed to have suffered a medical episode before the crash. Thankfully, there were no serious injuries, but the damage to the building is extensive. Enquiries are ongoing.”
The building remains cordoned off while structural assessments are carried out.
