Two Injured in Four-Car Crash on A2 Near Pepper Hill, Road Reopens

Two people sustained non-life-threatening injuries following a four-car collision on the A2 coastbound near Pepper Hill around midday today. The eastbound carriageway, which was temporarily closed, has now reopened.

Crash Details

The incident occurred near Gravesend, between A2260 Southfleet Road and A227 Wrotham Road. Emergency services, including police, paramedics, and fire crews, responded promptly to the scene.

Injuries and Recovery Efforts

A police spokesperson confirmed:

“Two people were treated for injuries and have been taken to a local hospital for further medical attention. The injuries are not described as life-threatening.”

All vehicles involved have been removed from the scene.

Traffic Impact

The road closure led to significant delays in the area, with police advising motorists to seek alternative routes. Crews worked to clear an oil spillage on the road surface, which contributed to the extended closure.

Road Reopened

The section of the A2 near Gravesend has since reopened, with normal traffic flow gradually resuming. Motorists are reminded to drive carefully as road conditions may still be affected.
