Police Appeal for Witnesses Following Fatal Collision in Maidstone

Kent Police are appealing for witnesses and any relevant footage following a fatal collision in Barming, near Maidstone, on Tuesday, December 24, 2024.

The incident occurred just before 2:25 PM on Tonbridge Road, near The Bull Inn. A white Honda 125cc motorbike, traveling in the direction of Wateringbury, collided with a lamppost.

Emergency services, including officers from Kent Police and the South East Coast Ambulance Service, attended the scene. The motorcyclist, a man in his 40s, was airlifted to a London hospital but sadly succumbed to his injuries. His next of kin has been informed.

Appeal for Information

Investigating officers are seeking:

  • Witnesses who may have seen the collision or events leading up to it.
  • CCTV footage from local residents in the area.
  • Dashcam footage from drivers on Tonbridge Road around the time of the incident.
