Major Train Chaos Hits Kent and South East London This Sunday!
Passengers across Kent and South East London are warned to brace for serious disruption on Sunday, January 5. Southeastern is set to hit the region with widespread cancellations, diversions, and replacement buses due to essential engineering works.
Good news for Saturday travellers though – services will run as normal on January 4. But come Sunday, get ready for a complete shake-up on key routes including London, Swanley, Sevenoaks, Dartford, Canterbury, Ramsgate and more.
Widespread Cancellations & Replacement Buses
Swanley & Sevenoaks:
- London Victoria to Ashford International trains run ONLY between Borough Green & Wrotham and Ashford.
- Replacement buses will shuttle passengers between Swanley and Borough Green & Wrotham, stopping only at Otford.
Lewisham & Dartford:
- No services from London Charing Cross to Sevenoaks or Dartford/Gravesend.
- Extra trains will run between London Bridge and Gravesend via Greenwich.
- Replacement buses between Greenwich and Dartford via Sidcup, calling at New Cross and all stations.
- Buses from Lewisham to Orpington calling at every station.
London Bridge & Charing Cross:
- No trains to/from London Charing Cross, Waterloo East, or Cannon Street.
- Services to Ramsgate and Dover Priory via Tonbridge diverted to run from London Victoria.
- Hastings trains to/from London Victoria instead of Charing Cross.
- No trains from London Charing Cross to Sevenoaks via Grove Park.
- London Cannon Street to Slade Green trains rerouted between London Bridge and Gravesend.
- No services to Dartford or Gravesend via Sidcup.
Trains Still Running Normally:
- London Victoria to Dartford via Bexleyheath.
- London Victoria to Orpington extended to Sevenoaks, stopping at all stations.
Canterbury West, Deal & Ramsgate:
- London Charing Cross to Ramsgate runs ONLY between London Victoria and Canterbury West.
- London St Pancras to Margate via Canterbury West runs ONLY up to Canterbury West.
- London St Pancras to Ramsgate via Dover Priory runs only as far as Deal.
- Replacement buses between Canterbury West and Margate, calling at Thanet Parkway, Ramsgate and Broadstairs.
- Buses shuttle between Canterbury West and Ramsgate, stopping at all stations.
- Buses between Deal and Ramsgate, stopping at Sandwich.
