Police Appeal for Witnesses After Woman Dies Following Collapse on Finchley Bus

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 78-year-old woman tragically died in hospital following a cardiac arrest on board a route 13 bus in Finchley.

Incident Details

  • The woman collapsed on the bus shortly after boarding at Finchley Road, NW3, at approximately 12:35 PM on Saturday, 28 December 2024.
  • Emergency services, including police and London Ambulance Service, responded, and she was taken to hospital.
  • Despite medical efforts, she sadly passed away on Saturday, 4 January 2025.

Ongoing Investigation

  • Detectives are investigating the circumstances leading to her death.
  • The bus driver is assisting with inquiries, and no arrests have been made.
  • The woman’s family is being supported by specially trained officers.

Officers are urging anyone who was on board the bus at the time but left before police arrived to come forward.
