CCTV Appeal After Reported Assault in Ashford

Police in Ashford have released CCTV images of a person they wish to identify in connection with a reported assault on Wednesday, 15 January 2025.

The incident occurred shortly before 3pm on Maidstone Road. According to reports, a person jumped on the back of a woman as she walked down the road. When the woman confronted him, he quickly fled the scene. Fortunately, she was not injured during the encounter.

Police Investigation

Officers are continuing to investigate the full circumstances of the incident and believe the person captured in the CCTV footage may have information that could assist their enquiries.

Police Appeal

A spokesperson for Kent Police said:

“We are keen to speak to the individual pictured in these CCTV images as they may hold vital information about the incident. If you recognize this person or have any information, please come forward.”
