Firefighters successfully tackled a roof fire above a flat on Cuthbert Road, Westgate, on the evening of Friday, 17 January 2025.

Emergency Response

Kent Fire and Rescue Service received reports of the fire at 8:00 PM, deploying five fire engines and a height vehicle to the scene. Crews, equipped with breathing apparatus, used high-pressure hose reel jets to extinguish the blaze.

No Injuries Reported

Thankfully, no injuries were reported, and firefighters confirmed the incident was brought under control by 10:19 PM. The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental, though further details have not yet been disclosed.
