Kent Fire and Rescue Service responded to a significant building fire in Herne Bay early this morning. The fire, which broke out on Pier Avenue, was reported at approximately 5:15am on Sunday, 2 February 2025.
In total, six fire engines and a height vehicle were dispatched to the scene, where crews worked diligently to contain the flames. Firefighters, equipped with breathing apparatus, used high-pressure hose reel jets and main jets to extinguish the fire. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation as fire crews continue to assess the damage and gather information. Authorities are expected to release further details as the investigation progresses.
