Two Arrested in Major NCA Drug Raids Across Coventry and London

NCA Strikes Back at Drug Networks

Two men have been hauled in following a series of dawn raids by the National Crime Agency (NCA) targeting suspected Class A and B drug operations. The swoops hit Coventry, East London, and South East London, as the NCA cracks down on illicit drug production and supply.

Ongoing Plumstead Raid

Officers, backed by the Metropolitan Police, are currently searching an address on Kirkham Street, Plumstead, since 9am this morning. The operation is ongoing with searches expected to stretch late into the night. Authorities have sealed off the area with cordons in place. Emergency crews, including the London Fire Brigade and London Ambulance Service, remain on standby as a precaution. So far, no arrests have been made at this location, and authorities confirm there is no risk to the public.

Arrests Made in Dagenham

The NCA also executed a raid at a property on Tallow Close, Dagenham, where two men in their 30s were arrested on suspicion of producing and supplying controlled drugs. One of the suspects faces additional immigration-related charges. Both men are now in custody for questioning. Similar to the Plumstead raid, the Dagenham site was cordoned off with emergency services present. Officials stress public safety is not at risk.

Crackdown Set to Continue

The NCA has not ruled out making further arrests as the investigation ramps up. Multiple locations remain under scrutiny as part of this large-scale operation aimed at dismantling drug production and distribution networks across the region.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about drug activity to come forward by contacting Crimestoppers or local law enforcement immediately.
