Shock Collision on The Avenue

A hit-and-run crash has rocked Brighton after a moped smashed into a 66-year-old cyclist before speeding off. The accident happened at around 2:25 PM on Monday, March 18, on The Avenue. The moped was travelling north when it struck the man, leaving him with life-threatening injuries.

Cyclist Rushed to Hospital

Emergency services rushed to the scene after reports of the smash. The injured cyclist was quickly taken to hospital, where his condition remains critical. Meanwhile, Sussex Police have launched a desperate hunt for the moped driver who fled without stopping.

Police Urge Witnesses to Step Forward

Officers are begging anyone who saw the collision or spotted the moped nearby to come forward. They are particularly interested in any CCTV, doorbell, or dashcam footage that could help identify the culprit.
