Blaze Breaks Out in Borough Green Late Night House Fire

Firefighters raced to a house fire in Borough Green, Sevenoaks, late Friday night. Crews battled the flames well into the early hours of Saturday to get the blaze under control.

Four Engines Tackle Fire Caused by Electrical Fault

Kent Fire and Rescue Service sprang into action after reports came in at 11:49pm on Friday, 21 March 2025. Four fire engines rolled up, with crews in breathing apparatus dousing the fire with high-pressure hose reel jets.

They remained at the scene until 1:54am on Saturday, 22 March, working quickly to contain the damage.

No Injuries in Early Morning Inferno

Thankfully, no one was hurt in the blaze. Initial investigations suggest the fire started accidentally, likely because of an electrical fault.

“Crews responded quickly to contain the fire and ensure the safety of the property and surrounding area. We urge all residents to regularly check electrical appliances and wiring to help prevent similar incidents.” – Kent Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson
