Cyclist Hurt Near Canary Wharf After Crash With Car
A cyclist suffered injuries following a collision near Canary Wharf on Friday morning, but thankfully, police say her injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing.
Emergency Called to Salter Street
Emergency services rushed to Salter Street, Poplar, just after 10am on April 11 after reports of a crash between a cyclist and a car. Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">London Ambulance Service treated the female cyclist at the scene before taking her to hospital.
The incident happened on Westferry Road, near Westferry DLR station, where Salter Street intersects.
Road Closure and Police Investigation Underway
Salter Street was temporarily closed to traffic as emergency responders dealt with the crash. The Metropolitan Police confirmed on Saturday that no arrests have been made, and inquiries remain ongoing.
The cyclist’s injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing,” confirmed a Met Police spokesperson.
Police Seek Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
Officers urge anyone who saw the collision or has dashcam footage to contact police on 101 to assist with the investigation.
