An urgent search operation is underway in Steeple Bumpstead, Essex, after two young children were reported missing earlier this evening.
Beau Ward, 12, and Eliza McIntosh, 10, were last seen around 6.30pm in the Blois Road area. Essex Police say they are “very concerned” for the children’s welfare and are working at pace to bring them home safely.
The force has confirmed that the National Police Air Service (NPAS) is assisting in the ongoing search, with officers carrying out door-to-door enquiries and scouring the local area.
Beau is described as slim with blond hair, while Eliza has long, thick, dark hair. A photo released by police shows Beau on the right and Eliza on the left.
In a public appeal posted, Essex Police said:
“We’re working hard to find Beau Ward and Eliza McIntosh, who are missing in Steeple Bumpstead. We’re concerned for their welfare and want to bring them home as quickly as possible.”
Anyone who may have seen Beau or Eliza or has information about their whereabouts is urged to call 101 immediately and quote incident details from Saturday, 12 April.
Locals are encouraged to check their gardens, outbuildings, and CCTV or doorbell footage in case the children passed by or sought shelter.
