Two Men Charged After Fatal Stabbing in Walworth

 

Two men have been charged, and a teenager remains in custody following the fatal stabbing of 21-year-old Giovanny Rendon Bedoya in Walworth earlier this month.

Police were called to Hillingdon Street, SE17, at 9:16pm on Monday, 14 April, following reports of a stabbing. Despite the efforts of officers and paramedics from the London Ambulance Service, Giovanny was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Charges and Court Appearances

  • Joseph Jimenez, 21, of no fixed address, was charged with murder on Tuesday, 23 April. He appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 23 April, and then at the Old Bailey on Friday, 25 April.
  • Angel Gonzales Angulo, 19, of Camberwell Church Street, SE5, was arrested on Wednesday, 23 April and charged with murder the following day. He appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 25 April and is scheduled to appear at the Old Bailey on Tuesday, 29 April.

Additionally, a 17-year-old boy was arrested on Friday, 25 April on suspicion of murder. He remains in police custody as investigations continue.

Police Statement

The Metropolitan Police confirmed that specialist officers are providing support to Giovanny’s family during this extremely difficult time.

Detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command are continuing to appeal for any witnesses or anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
