Travel Advice for Bank Holiday Drivers

Motorists heading off for a long weekend are advised to plan ahead and allow extra time for their journeys, especially if departing late Friday evening. With no scheduled closures over Saturday and Sunday, return trips should be less affected.

Drivers are reminded to follow all signed diversions and check real-time updates through National Highways Live Traffic services.

Why These Roadworks Matter

The M25, M3, and A3 are critical corridors for holidaymakers, commuters, and freight. Keeping them maintained ensures smoother, safer journeys, but it’s crucial for drivers to be aware of temporary disruptions, particularly ahead of major travel periods like the bank holiday weekend.
