21-year-old man charged with arson over string of fires linked to PM Sir Keir Starmer
Three Fires Rock PM-Linked Properties
A 21-year-old Ukrainian man has been charged with three counts of arson with intent to endanger life after a series of suspicious fires linked to Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer.
Roman Lavrynovych, from Sydenham in southeast London, was arrested following three distinct attacks in north London:
- A house fire in Kentish Town, where Sir Keir used to live with his family;
- A second blaze at a property in Islington, connected to the Prime Minister;
- A vehicle fire on the same Kentish Town street early Thursday morning.
He is set to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court this Friday.
Investigation Underway, No Wider Threat
The Metropolitan Police confirmed the case is being treated as high priority but stressed there is no indication of a wider public threat.
“A 21-year-old man has been charged following a series of arson incidents at residential addresses and a vehicle in north London. All three locations have links to the Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer. While investigations remain ongoing, there is no wider threat to the public at this time,” said a Met spokesperson.
At this stage, the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command is not involved. No injuries have been reported.
Security Concerns for Public Officials
The attacks have raised serious questions about the safety of high-profile public figures. Sources suggest extra security measures are now being put in place at addresses linked to Sir Keir Starmer.
Downing Street has declined to comment while legal proceedings are ongoing.
