Man, 20, Fighting for His Life After Stabbing at Imperial Wharf Station in West London

 

 

A 20-year-old man is in critical condition after being stabbed during rush hour at Imperial Wharf station in Fulham, West London, on Wednesday evening (June 18).

Emergency services were called at 5:20pm, and London’s Air Ambulance landed nearby to assist with the emergency response. The victim was treated at the scene before being taken to a major trauma centre with life-threatening injuries.


Station Locked Down as Police Launch Investigation

The incident sparked a significant police presence at the London Overground station, which connects Clapham Junction to Stratford. Services were suspended for several hours, causing disruption to commuters.

The British Transport Police (BTP) is now leading the investigation and has appealed for witnesses and information.

A BTP spokesperson said:
“Officers were called to Imperial Wharf station just after 5:20pm following reports of a stabbing.

“Paramedics also attended and a 20-year-old man was taken to hospital with what are believed to be life-threatening injuries.

“Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.”


Emergency Response Details

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson confirmed:

“We were called at 5:20pm to reports of a stabbing at Imperial Wharf station, SW6.

“We sent ambulance crews, an advanced paramedic practitioner, and London’s Air Ambulance.

“A man was treated at the scene and taken to a major London trauma centre.”


No Arrests Yet as Police Appeal for Information

As of Thursday morning, no arrests have been made. Investigators are urging anyone who witnessed the attack or has footage to come forward.
