A 20-year-old man is fighting for his life after a brutal stabbing at Imperial Wharf station in Fulham, West London, during rush hour on Wednesday evening (June 18).

Emergency services were scrambled at 5:20pm. London’s Air Ambulance touched down nearby to support paramedics. The victim was treated on the scene before being rushed to a major trauma centre with life-threatening injuries.

Station Shut Down, Commuters Disrupted

The stabbing triggered a heavy police response at the London Overground station, which links Clapham Junction to Stratford. Services were suspended for hours, leaving commuters stranded and frustrated.

The British Transport Police (BTP) are leading the probe. They have appealed for witnesses to step forward.

A BTP spokesperson said: “Officers were called to Imperial Wharf station just after 5:20pm following reports of a stabbing. “Paramedics attended and a 20-year-old man was taken to hospital with what are believed to be life-threatening injuries. “Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.”

Emergency Services Detail Rapid Response

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson added:

“We were called at 5:20pm to reports of a stabbing at Imperial Wharf station, SW6. “We dispatched ambulance crews, an advanced paramedic practitioner, and London’s Air Ambulance. “A man received treatment at the scene before being taken to a major London trauma centre.”

No Arrests as Police Hunt Suspect

By Thursday morning, no arrests have been made. Police urge anyone who saw the attack or has video footage to get in touch.
