Police launch hunt for witnesses after Worthing seafront stabbing spree.
Knife-Wielding Teens Chase Victim Along Worthing Promenade
At 1.17pm this afternoon, cops raced to Worthing’s Marine Parade after reports that three teenagers were chasing another teen, with one armed with a knife. An 18-year-old man was slashed in the hand during the brazen attack. Quick-thinking passersby helped before he was rushed to hospital. Fortunately, his injuries are not life-threatening.
Suspects Escape West Wearing Black Hoodies
The teenage suspects fled west along the promenade. Witnesses describe all three as white males dressed in black hoodies. Sussex Police have since stepped up patrols along the seafront as the manhunt intensifies.
Police Urge Witnesses to Speak Up or Share Footage
Detective Inspector Neil Walker of Worthing CID said: “We’re in the early stages of our investigation and urgently need anyone with information to come forward. If you saw the incident or anything suspicious around that time, please call 101 or report online quoting serial 615 of 01/10.”
