Hit-and-Run Horror: 65-Year-Old Man Left Fighting for Life
Kent Police have launched a fresh appeal after a hit-and-run left a 65-year-old man critically injured on North Lane. The victim was struck on the evening of Saturday, 27 September, by a vehicle that sped off without stopping.
Crash Details: Victim Struck Near Partridge Lane Junction
The man was walking near the junction of North Lane and Partridge Lane around 7.45pm when the collision happened. Witnesses spotted a Ford Focus and another small hatchback heading south on North Lane towards South Road moments before the crash.
Police Hunt Key Vehicles and Witnesses
The Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are desperate to speak with the drivers of these vehicles. They believe these motorists may have crucial information or witnessed a Nissan flatbed/tipper involved in the smash. The injured man was rushed to a London hospital and remains in critical condition.

- Three people arrested in connection with the crash have been released on bail.
- Kent Police urge anyone who saw the Nissan tipper or the collision to come forward immediately.
