Police Launch Urgent Appeal After Pensioner Murder in Goldalming
Detectives are hunting for answers after a pensioner was tragically murdered in Farncombe, Goldalming, on Sunday morning (29 October). Police arrived at a Wey Court home just after 9.20am following safety concerns and discovered the victim seriously injured.
Pensioner Dies at Scene, Man Arrested
Paramedics battled to save the woman, but she was pronounced dead around 10.10am. A 57-year-old man found at the scene was also injured and arrested on suspicion of murder. He remains in hospital undergoing treatment.
Police Call for Witnesses
Detective Chief Inspector Jo Hayes, heading the Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team, urged the public to come forward.
“We want to speak to anyone who saw people entering or leaving the house the night before and the morning of the incident. Even tiny details could crack this case,” said DCI Hayes.
