Police appeal for Public’s Help following Pensioner Murder in Goldalming

Police enquiries are continuing following the murder of a woman in Farncombe on Sunday morning (29 October). We are trying to piece together the events which led to the woman’s death at an address in Wey Court, and we are appealing to anyone with any information to come forward as a matter of urgency. Officers were called to the address around 9.20am following reports of a concern for safety.

_psEmbed(“https:///uknip.photoshelter.com”); A woman was found at the address with a serious injury. She was treated at the scene by paramedics but was sadly pronounced dead around 10.10am. A man, who was at the same address when police arrived, was also injured. The man, aged 57, was arrested on suspicion of murder and taken to hospital. He remains in hospital where he is receiving treatment for his injuries. Formal identification of the woman is not expected to take place until later this week. https:///www.youtube.com/watch?v=yrzp83bCowo Detective Chief Inspector Jo Hayes from the Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team, who is leading the investigation, said: “We would like to speak to anyone who saw anyone going into or coming out of the house the night before and the morning of the incident. Any information, no matter how insignificant it might seem, could be useful so please get in touch if you think you can help.” Anyone with any information which could assist their enquiries is asked to contact Surrey Police on 101, quoting incident reference P17273057.
