London Drug Dealer Slapped with Five-Year Jail Term After Southsea Police Sting
A London-based drug dealer has been locked up for five years following a swoop in Southsea last year. Marcel Anthony Clarke, from Wimbledon, was caught red-handed with Class A drugs including crack cocaine and heroin.
Five Years Behind Bars for Clarke
On 20 March 2017, police arrested Clarke at 1 Parkside, Wimbledon, charging him with possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin. Crack worth £390 and heroin worth £345 were seized, along with cash. He was handed five years’ imprisonment for each charge, to run concurrently.
Police Praise Operation Success
“This is another good result for our 1 Related Harm team and the local community – removing a drug dealer from the streets of portsmouth/" title="Portsmouth" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Portsmouth,” said Detective Sergeant Matthew Easton.
Detective Chief Inspector Nick Heelan added, “We continue to actively target drug dealers and disrupt drug dealing in Portsmouth. I hope this sentence reassures our local community that we will do everything in our power to get drug dealers off our streets and into court.”
