Teen Guilty of Murdering 14-Year-Old Jaden Moodie in Leyton Moped Attack

Ayoub Majdouline, 19, found guilty of stabbing teen Jaden Moodie to death after deliberately knocking him off his moped in east London.

Jaden Targeted and Fatally Stabbed in Leyton

Ayoub Majdouline, 19, from Wembley, has been convicted of murdering 14-year-old Jaden Moodie. The killing happened on 8 January in Leyton, East London, after Majdouline and four others hunted for rival gang members in a black Mercedes.

Jaden was riding his moped when the Mercedes deliberately rammed him head-on on Bickley Road around 6:30pm. The force threw him onto the car’s bonnet and his helmet came off. Majdouline and two others, faces covered and wearing gloves, then stabbed the defenceless teenager nine times in just seven seconds before fleeing.

Despite emergency crews rushing to the scene, Jaden was pronounced dead at 7:09pm with fatal stab wounds causing hypovolemic shock.

Swift Police Work Uncovers Brutal Evidence

  • The stolen Mercedes was found dumped nearby with front-end damage.
  • Bloody knives and yellow gloves linked to Majdouline were recovered close to the abandoned car.
  • CCTV caught Majdouline calmly buying a drink minutes after the attack, still wearing clothes stained with Jaden’s DNA.
  • Officers found burnt clothing matching items Majdouline wore, confirming his attempts to destroy evidence.
  • Majdouline was arrested at home days later and charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon.

Detectives Demand Justice and Urge Witnesses to Come Forward

“Majdouline and his accomplices went out intent on causing serious harm and brutally killed a child in cold blood,” said Detective Inspector Dave Hillier. “They left Jaden to die in the street after stabbing him nine times. We have solid evidence and are grateful the jury saw through his savage actions.”

“Our work isn’t done. Four others in the car that night remain at large. We urge anyone with information to come forward, anonymously if necessary, through charities like Crimestoppers or Fearless.”

Community Left Reeling as Police Vow to Tackle Knife Crime

Detective Chief Superintendent Richard Tucker added: “Jaden was a child robbed of his future in a senseless attack. This conviction sends a clear message that London is safer with Majdouline behind bars. But knife crime remains a serious issue, especially among young people making dangerous choices.”

Two other men arrested on suspicion of murder remain released under investigation as inquiries continue into all those involved.

The hunt to bring Jaden’s killers to justice goes on.
