Sixth Arrest Made in Shocking Brent Baby Shooting
Detectives have nabbed a sixth suspect over the brutal shooting in Harlesden that left a two-year-old boy fighting for his life.
New Arrest in Harlesden Shooting
On Friday, 3 July, police arrested an 18-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder. He was taken to a north London police station but has now been bailed until early August as investigations continue.
Toddler Shot in the Head – Miraculously Survives
The chaos unfolded around 9:45pm on Wednesday, 3 June, at Energen Close in Harlesden. Officers arrived to find four people injured by gunfire, including the toddler and his mother.
Doctors revealed the bullet just missed a vital artery by 1mm – a wound that could have been fatal. The little boy was rushed to a central London hospital in critical condition but is thankfully showing signs of improvement.
Gunman Fired Into Family Car
- Detectives say the gunman first shot at one of two teenage boys on the street.
- He then fired into a car carrying the toddler, his mother, and another teen.
- The mother was hit multiple times but survived.
- Two other kids in the car escaped unharmed.
- The suspect then sped off on a motorbike.
Five Others Already Arrested
In the weeks since the shooting, police have arrested five more suspects:
- 19-year-old man arrested on 5 June for attempted murder and later bailed.
- On 12 June, four men in Luton were arrested: – 20-year-old man on four counts of attempted murder, now released under investigation. – 29, 23, and 36-year-old men arrested for assisting an offender, all released under investigation.
