Aldershot’s cannabis crackdown hits hat trick with three factory busts in three days!

Three Cannabis Farms Torn Down in Aldershot

Neighbourhood officers in Aldershot have smashed not one, not two, but three cannabis factories over just three days.

  • September 30: Police raided a three-floor property on Sandford Road, seizing 175 plants. A teenage woman was arrested but later released without charge.
  • October 1: Another 150 plants were found and removed from a Legge Crescent home. No arrests have been made yet.
  • October 2: Officers uncovered 115 plants at a hydroponics set-up on Park Road. A 31-year-old man was arrested and is now on police bail.

More Than Just ‘A Bit of Cannabis’

Police warn that these operations aren’t small-time. “Large-scale cannabis production is often run by organised crime gangs,” a spokesman said. “These gangs use serious violence, weapons, and exploit vulnerable people through servitude.”

The growers also pose huge electrical risks, putting neighbours’ homes and lives in danger.

Community Help Needed to Fight Crime

The police urge anyone suspicious of cannabis cultivation or drug activity in their area to speak up. Every report helps build intelligence and keep communities safe.
