Beaconsfield Man Nabbed with £16,000 in Drugs and Cash on Christmas Eve
Rashid, 48, from Station Road, Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, has pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply Class A and B drugs, plus possession of Class C substances. He was sentenced at Norwich Crown Court.
Christmas Eve Sting Uncovers Massive Drug Haul
Last Christmas Eve, police stopped a VW at a BP petrol station in Acle linked to drug supply. Rashid shockingly confessed on the spot, saying: “Ok guys, hands up, drugs and money.” Officers arrested him immediately on suspicion of drug offences.
£4,893 Cash, Cocaine, Cannabis and More Discovered
- Search of Rashid and his vehicle uncovered £4,893 in cash and a mobile phone
- A rucksack held blister packs of prescription drugs and cocaine wraps
- Loose flowering cannabis and drug paraphernalia were also found
- In total, 153 wraps of cocaine worth around £10,000 and £2,000 of cannabis were seized
- Cash envelopes stuffed in the glove box further raised suspicion
Luxury Lifestyle, Multiple Addresses and High-Value Gear
At his main home on Langdon Avenue, Aylesbury, police found an annexe with immaculate furnishings, a pristine Harley Davidson bike with private plates, Apple Mac computers, and other high-value items. His second address in Beaconsfield revealed £580 cash, tablets, CBD supplements, and cannabis sweets.
A Proceeds of Crime Act hearing is set for 29 March 2021 at Norwich Crown Court.
