DI Glenn Butler Cracks Down on Gun Crime
Detective Inspector Glenn Butler from Specialist Crime has vowed to make life tough for gun-toting criminals on our streets. Speaking on recent intelligence-led raids targeting gang hotspots, he said:
“The work our teams are carrying out through intelligence-led operations in areas of heightened gun and gang activity shows our commitment to tackling gun crime on the streets.”
“We want to make the streets a hostile place for those involved in firearms. This joint operation by Central East BCU and Specialist Crime is a perfect example.”
Three Handguns and Ammunition Found
During the arrest, officers searched the suspect’s home and seized three handguns along with eight rounds of ammo. Also recovered were Class A drugs, adding fuel to the criminal fire.
Suspect Held
The individual caught up in the raid remains in custody at a police station in east London, as inquiries intensify.
