Vicious Break-In in Sevenoaks Ends with Jail for Thomas Arnold
Thomas Arnold wreaked havoc at a Sevenoaks home on 11 December 2021, smashing windows and terrorising a woman he knew. The damage didn’t stop there.
Threats and Stalking Shake Victim
After the initial attack, police were called and stayed with the victim as Arnold rang up to hurl violent threats. The very next day, he bombarded her with creepy phone messages, making it clear he was stalking her.
Arnold Breaks In Again, Vandalises and Steals Cash
While the victim was out, Arnold returned, climbed through a broken window, and slashed sofas and chairs multiple times. He also made off with a sum of cash before fleeing on foot.
Swift Police Action Leads to Arrest and Sentence
- Kent Police quickly arrested Arnold near the scene.
- The 31-year-old from Quarry Road, Maidstone, faced burglary, criminal damage, and harassment charges.
- He pleaded guilty and was jailed for two years and four months on 9 February 2022.
- Arnold has also been hit with a five-year restraining order.
PC James Grace, Vulnerability Investigation Team, said: “Arnold is a violent individual who put his victim through a terrifying ordeal. His actions were those of a bully and a coward. West Kent will be a safer place while he serves his sentence.”
