Blazing Roof Fire Sparks Major Firefighter Response
Firefighters from seven towns raced to battle a fierce blaze ripping through a roof shortly after 5:30pm.
Crews Battle Flames to Protect Neighbouring Homes
- Teams from Whitchurch, Andover, Winchester, Basingstoke, Stockbridge, Eastleigh, and Tadley were joined by specialists from Royal Berkshire and Dorset & Wiltshire Fire Services.
- The roof was “well alight” on arrival, with crews fighting hard to stop the flames from spreading to nearby properties.
- Specialist units from 1 and Fleet are also on the scene.
No Injuries as Firefighters Go All Out
Thankfully, there have been no casualties reported so far. Firefighters, clad in breathing apparatus, are conducting a salvage operation while dousing the blaze using jets and hoses.
