Heartbreaking Tribute from Grieving Mother
Paying a tearful tribute, Kyle’s mother described her son as “a beloved, sweet, gentle boy who wouldn’t even hurt a fly.” She said, “Every second without him is pure torture. Our hearts have been shattered into a million pieces.”
Kyle was not just any teen; he was a “talented and dedicated basketball player and keen enthusiast.” His mother recalled proud moments when other parents praised him for being polite and cheerful. “My baby, we were blessed to have 17 fantastic years with you. But we are struggling to go on without you,” she added. “A parent should never have to bury their child. No child deserves this.”
She spoke on behalf of the entire family: “Me, your dad, your brother, friends and the community are devastated.”
Teen Tragically Stabbed on Surrey Street
Police were called to the Greenhill Road junction with Copped Hall Drive at 10.50pm after reports a teenager had been stabbed. Sadly, Kyle was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after officers arrived.
Murder Investigation Underway
Surrey and Sussex’s Major Crime Team has launched a murder investigation. A 17-year-old boy arrested on suspicion of murder remains in custody as inquiries continue.
Kyle’s family is being supported by specially trained officers during this devastating time.
