Around 3 p.m. on Saturday 4 June, the 15-year-old victim was walking north along Arundel Road near the recreation ground when she was approached by a man who assaulted her. The suspect is described as being in his 30s and having stubby or shaved hair. He was dressed casually in a green t-shirt and blue jeans.
Officers investigating the assault would like to speak with anyone who witnessed what happened or who may have seen a man acting suspiciously in the area near the churchyard.
