Life-Saving Defibrillators Donated to Schools in West Midlands
A local charity, Fastaid, has received a crucial donation of defibrillators to be rolled out across schools in partnership with Jude, Jobe, and the West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS).
Every Second Counts After Cardiac Arrest
When someone suffers a cardiac arrest, acting fast is vital. CPR and defibrillation must start immediately because survival chances drop by 10% every minute without treatment. More defibrillators in the community mean more lives saved.
WMAS Praises Generous Donation
This is an incredible gesture from Jude and Jobe, one that will help save lives in the communities where the defibrillators are placed,” said Tim Cronin, WMAS Community Response Manager. “The importance of prompt CPR and defibrillation cannot be overstated.”
Inspiration from Football Star Christian Eriksen
The world witnessed footballer Christian Eriksen’s cardiac arrest during Euro 2020. Quick CPR and defibrillator use brought him back — and he’s still playing top-level football today. This donation aims to give communities the same fighting chance.
Defibrillators to Protect Schools and Surrounding Areas
Once installed, the defibrillators will be registered on the Circuit, the UK’s national defibrillator network. If someone calls 999, ambulance dispatchers can instantly guide them to the nearest device—speeding up lifesaving help.
