Body Discovered in Milton Keynes Sparks Murder Probe
Thames Valley Police have launched a murder investigation after a body was found at a house on Loxbeare Drive, Furzton, Milton Keynes. Officers were alerted late Monday evening following a tip-off from a member of the public.
Missing Teen’s Rucksack Found at Scene
The discovery came after police found the teen’s rucksack and personal items at the property. The adolescent was last seen on CCTV on Friday, February 15, 2019. Formal identification of the body is yet to take place, but the family has been kept informed.
Police Renew Appeal for 2019 Disappearance Witnesses
Detective Chief Superintendent Ian Hunter urged anyone who was near Loxbeare Drive around February 15, 2019, to come forward. He said:
“Over the last three and a half years, we have made numerous appeals for information, and we are grateful to those who have been able to assist. However, I am now making a renewed and specific appeal to anyone who believes they may have been in the vicinity of Loxbeare Drive on or around 15 February 2019 and has any information that may be relevant to please contact me.”
He specifically asked for any CCTV footage from that time, warning:
“Please contact us regardless of how insignificant you believe any information you may have is. Your information could be extremely useful in this investigation.”
Investigation Ongoing, Police Offer Support to Family
Thames Valley Police confirm the investigation will be thorough and respectful. Officers may remain on scene for some time. In a statement, they said:
“Our thoughts are with Leah’s family and friends at this naturally difficult time for them.”
