Forecasters have slapped a yellow warning across huge swathes of England. Freezing fog is brewing and it’s set to cause major headaches from Saturday night into Sunday morning.
Visibility Near Zero – Drivers on High Alert
Visibility could plummet to just 50 metres, making untreated roads treacherous and slippery. The Met Office warns this cocktail of fog and ice could trigger accidents and injuries.
“Freezing fog will make driving difficult and may cause travel delays in some areas on Saturday night and Sunday morning,” the Met Office said. Night temperatures could dip as low as -6°C in the Midlands, East Anglia, and South East, ramping up the danger.
