Massive Blaze Rips Through East London High Street

Firefighters battled a huge fire that tore through three shops on Walthamstow High Street last night. Ten fire engines and around 70 firefighters were rushed to the scene to tackle the inferno.

Shops Reduced to Ashes – Residents Rescued

The fire engulfed a kebab shop, a phone shop, and a clothing store in a terrace of commercial units. Crews swiftly led three residents trapped in the flats above to safety, preventing potential tragedy.

Fire Brigade Quick to Act

The London Fire Brigade got the first call at 9.54pm on January 24 and managed to extinguish the fire by 12.37am. Crews from Walthamstow, Leyton, Tottenham, and nearby stations joined forces in the operation.

Investigation Underway

The cause of the blaze is still unknown. London Fire Brigade confirmed an investigation is ongoing to determine what sparked the fire.
