Before his phone was returned to him, the victim surrendered it, which was reported to have been used to transfer money from his bank account. The following day, officers from the Kent Crime Squad apprehended a man. They also seized 21 suspected heroin and cocaine wraps.
Darryl Carpenter, of no fixed address, was later charged with robbery, public knife possession, cocaine possession with intent to supply, and heroin possession with intent to supply. On Thursday, February 23, the 19-year-old appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court and was remanded to a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on March 23.
