Two drug dealers caught running a cocaine and heroin line from London to Northampton have been jailed after a major police bust.

County Lines Crackdown in Northampton

On October 11, 2022, Northamptonshire Police raided a property on The Briars, Briar Hill, as part of an investigation into county lines drug dealing.

Further probing revealed the pair had been smuggling heroin and cocaine up from London to Northampton since April 2022. They used text messages to push drugs directly to local users, running their operation from the Briars property—a case of “cuckooing,” where dealers take over vulnerable homes to stash and sell drugs.

Long Sentences for Dealers

Both men pleaded guilty to being involved in the supply of heroin and cocaine between April and October. On February 17, they appeared at Northampton Crown Court for sentencing.

  • Pedro Armando, from Southwark, London, was jailed for three and a half years.
  • Abdul Hassan, from Hackney, London, received a five and a half year sentence.

Police Crack Down on Drug Crime

“Tackling the harm caused by drugs is a priority for Northamptonshire Police,” said Detective Sergeant Torie Harrison.

“They targeted vulnerable users and fuelled drug-related crime. But instead of counting cash, these dealers will be counting the days in jail.

Their guilty pleas show our evidence was rock solid. Their sentences send a clear message: drug dealing won’t be tolerated in our county.”
