A man in his 40s was found dead after a hit and run on the southbound A43, between Rockingham Road and the A14 junction 7. The tragic collision happened sometime between 7pm on Wednesday, October 15, and 6:50am the following morning.

A passerby spotted the victim lying in the undergrowth around 8am on October 16 and alerted police, sparking a serious investigation.

Two Arrests Made – Woman Released, Man on Bail

Northamptonshire Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit moved swiftly, arresting a 41-year-old woman and a 42-year-old man. Both face suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop.

The woman has been released without further action. The man remains on police bail as detectives continue their probe into this fatal hit and run.
