Ex-Teacher Jonathan Marshall Found Guilty of Abusing Third Child
Jonathan Marshall, 75, a former Woking schoolteacher with a twisted past, has been convicted of sexually assaulting a third pupil. Marshall, who changed his name from John Lillis in 2017, preyed on a boy aged 8 to 10 during the late 1980s. This latest conviction adds to his record of abusing two other children.
Harrowing Abuse Spanning Years
The victim endured “horrendous and repeated sexual abuse” over several years. Most attacks took place near the child’s school church. In one chilling episode, Marshall and a now-deceased accomplice dragged the boy to an isolated property to carry out their sick crimes. The youngster described the “intense panic” of facing two predators alone, powerless to resist.
Prosecutor Brands Marshall a ‘Vile Predator’ as Victim Wins Justice
“Marshall is an appalling sexual predator who subjected the young victim to horrendous and repeated sexual abuse,” said Catherine Wear, Senior Crown Prosecutor. “Marshall abused his position of trust and threatened the child, saying no one would believe ‘just a little boy.’ The victim’s bravery in speaking out has now led to justice.”
Marshall was found guilty on 13 counts of historic sexual abuse at Kingston Crown Court. Sentencing is yet to be announced.
