Seventy Firefighters Battle Blaze in Hackney Tower Block
Emergency crews raced to a fierce fire in a Hackney tower block just after 7pm tonight. Flames tore through a split-level maisonette spanning the 11th and 12th floors, sparking a major response.
Massive Fire Brigade Response on Dunloe Street
The London Fire Brigade sent ten fire engines and around 70 firefighters from Shoreditch, Whitechapel, Islington, Stoke Newington, and nearby stations. Within an hour, the blaze was under control, preventing it from spreading further.
High-Tech Drones Aid Firefighters in Critical Response
Station Commander Stephen Irvine said: “Crews worked swiftly to contain the fire to the affected flat and bring the incident under control.”
“Drones have been deployed to survey the incident from above, providing live and thermal images. This gives Incident Commanders a vital aerial view, helping them develop effective tactics and assess the area.”
